Eric Wachter opened the doors of Eric Ericsson’s Fish Company in the fall of 1981 in the heart of Ventura’s beach community with the goal to provide fantastic seafood by the sea.

Located at the end of Seaward Avenue, the small restaurant soon became a huge success which lead Eric to take over the building next door so he could provide a full bar with live music which then evolved into one of Ventura County’s legendary hot spots.

In the summer of 1996 Eric was given the opportunity to further his success with the offer to build his dream restaurant on the historical Ventura Pier where for the last 17 years Ericsson’s has become a tradition for many locals and tourists.

Now the torch has been passed down a generation from father to daughter. Kiona Wachter, owner of another one of Ventura’s favorites – Beach House Tacos, is now introducing Beach House Fish putting her twist on her father’s vision. She has still kept what people loved about Ericsson’s but has added new flavors and introduced new, exciting specialty infused cocktails, a diverse craft beer selection and a well rounded wine list.

With Kiona’s new fish market style menu you can choose from a wide variety of fresh fish, prepared to your liking and add delicious side dishes or you can choose from her specialty plates. The new counter style service has made it more convenient for customers to come get quality seafood dishes without the hustle and bustle of waiting around for a table. With a remodeled dining room, self-seating and full bar Beach House Fish will accommodate you with friendly service, amazing views and impeccable food.
